He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Homer and Bertha Suggs (Prevett); his wife Ruth Ann Suggs; his child Baby Suggs; and his sisters, Aleta Neely, Katherene Warden, Joyce Beavers and Betty Lou Suggs.

He is survived by: his children, Stan Suggs and Terri Lynn Owen; and his grandson Tanner Owen (Julia).
