We announce the death of Bill Jones (Pryor, Oklahoma), who passed away on August 26, 2026, at the age of 88. Bill will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Dunham; his parents, Pearl Clayton Jones and Andrew Jackson Jones; his daughter Joyce "Doity" Jones; and his grandson Billie Adam McDaniel.
He is survived by: his sons, Gary Jones of Bartlesville and Wes Jones of Adair, Oklahoma; his brother J. R. "Skinny" Jones (Marcy) of Pryor, Oklahoma; and his grandchildren, Gary Jones Jr., Megan Miles, Paula Malchow, Jamie Hardin and Jessica Fannin. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Shipman's Funeral Home. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Benge Cemetery (161 Lakeside Dr N, Adair, OK 74330).
