He was predeceased by : his parents, NJ Nix and Mary Nix (Floyd). He is survived by : his wife Wendy DeTemple; his children, Alexis Nix, Ashley Hardin of Oklahoma, Emily Whitten, Shanna Pendergraft, Jeremy Nix and Christopher Nix; his sister Phyllis Rogers of Alabama; and his grandchildren, Zaylee Nix-Nelson, Karsyn Nix-Nelson, Cooper Alexander Wilson and Rosalie Marie Hardin.
