Jesse Partain Sr. Obituary

Jesse Ray Partain Sr, long time resident of Pryor passed away December 17, 2019 in Claremore with his family by his side. Jesse was born June 2, 1944 in Hinton, Oklahoma to Iva & Annie (Golden) Partain. He was recently retired from IMI, where he was a hard working and highly valued mechanic. Some of his best years were spent raising his family, with the love of his life Patricia. Jesse loved to catfish from an ole river bank and loved playing music. He enjoyed hunting wild mushrooms and searching for arrowheads. He was a great storyteller. He had a huge heart and was a giver, never expecting anything in return. He also loved to garden and was known for canning great salsa and always giving it away. Above all else though , he loved & cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren & great grandchildren. Jesse was preceded in death by, his parents, wife: Patricia, four brothers, and two sisters.

Jesse leaves behind two sons: Bruce Partain of Pryor and Jesse Partain Jr of Pryor, one daughter: Brenda Harrison of Claremore, eleven grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and one brother: Dean Partain of Colcord, Oklahoma, along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

The Celebration of Life services for Jesse will be held 2pm – Monday December 23, 2019 at Stephens-Key Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jerold Pilant officiating and burial to follow at Bell Cemetery in Siloam Springs, Oklahoma. The family will meet and greet friends from 2pm-4pm Sunday December 22, 2019 at Stephens-Key Funeral Home. Casket bearers will be Justin Sparks, Alex Allen, Yuri Decet, Cody Salyers, Matthew Hendershot, Jesse Partain Jr, Lucas Harrison, & Hal Harrison and honorary casket bearers will be Dean Partain, Bruce Partain, and Gene Taylor.
