Trudy Brown Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Trudy Brown of Pryor, Oklahoma, who passed away on April 2, 2026 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Howard Vaughan and Thelma Marion Vaughan (Chrism); her husband James Dale Brown; her daughters, Rebecca Lynn Savage and Beverely Ann Hughes; and her siblings, Thomas William Vaughan, Doris Ruth Vaughan and Betty Jean Vaughan.
She is survived by: her children, Joy Potter of Pryor, Oklahoma, Richard Hunter (Ruby) of Nowata, Larry Hunter of Turley and Jimmy Hunter (Kendra) of Pryor, Oklahoma; and her brothers, Howard Vaughan (Pat) of Nowata, Oklahoma and Giles Vaughan (Janice) of Nowata, Oklahoma. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren; and many great and great-great grandchildren; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
Her faith was an important part of her life, and she was always willing to serve wherever needed—whether cooking, cleaning, donating her time, or helping with children's church camps during the summer months.
