She was predeceased by: her parents, James Mac Gleason and Jewell Agnes Gleason (Raines); and her siblings, Jeanette Kirkendall, Mary Gleason and John Gleason.
She is survived by: her husband Laurence Newkirk of Maysville; her children, Jenny Newkirk (Ron) of Purcell, Thomas Newkirk (Tara) of Little Rock and Julynn Patton of Marble Falls, Texas.; her sister Betty White (Bill) of Odessa; and her nieces and nephews, Michael and Kelly Brown. She is also survived by five grandchildren, five great grandchildren.
