It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Barry Bates of Red Oak, Oklahoma, born in Lake City, Arkansas, who passed away on March 2, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Floran Filmore Bates "Yok" and Sylvia Gladys Bates (Miller); and his siblings, James "Jim" Bates, Marlene Erickson and Faye Waters.
He is survived by: his wife Frankie Bates; his children, Stacy Bates and Richie Bates (Cassie); his grandchildren, Bayleigh Bates, Dillan Bates, Paisley Goodwin, Jazz Goodwin and Chloee Bates; his great grandchild Parker Satterfield; and his brother Arthur Bates (Alyce). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
