He was predeceased by: his parents, David Jeff Baker and Ida Leona Baker (Friels); his daughter Erica Baker; and his siblings, Retha Heinz, Dimple Varnell, Hershall Baker and Harold Baker.
He is survived by: his children, Lana Dougherty (Curtis) of Norman, OK, Cindy Morris (Mark) of Ringling, OK and Craig Baker (Donna) of Forney, TX.; his sister Rozella Pevehouse of Ratliff City, OK; and his grandchildren, Sheila Johnston, Chris Morris, Emily Valverde, Matthew Baker, Brittanie Baker and Emily Fulwood. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and many dear friends.
He will be remembered not only for his contributions to the oilfield and public service but also for his passion, integrity, and the unique spirit he brought to every endeavor.
