He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Clarence and Jewel Dean McCurry Burkhead; his siblings, Larry, Robert, Bill Burkhead, Barbara and Nina; his grandson Anthony Wade Burkhead; and his daughter-in-law Pamela Burkhead.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Louise Mosley; his children, Sheila Marie Bradley of Roff, Donald Ray Burkhead, Jr. (Marsha) of Roff and Michael Dewayne Burkhead of Roff; his siblings, Sherman Burkhead (Marcia) of South Dakota and Shirley of Tulsa; and his grandchildren, Jeffery Scott Bacon (Amber), Nathen Wayne Bacon, Jessica Louise Carter (Cole), Donald Ray Burkhead III (Breana), Matthew Wade Burkhead (Ashleigh), Chelsea, Shelby Ann Olson (Christian), Cameron Michael Burkhead, Jennifer Shoemaker and Michael Shoemaker. He is also survived by 23 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; and multiple nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 17th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Criswell Funeral Home (815 E Arlington St, Ada, OK 74820). A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the East Hill Cemetery.
