She was predeceased by: her parents, JW Smith and Pauline Smith. She is survived by: her daughters, Tiffany Gwen Besett Gilmore and Stephanie Marie Besett Ryan; her husband Kenneth Key; her stepson Kenny Davis; her grandchildren, Cole Gilmore, Kate Ryan and Kayson Davis; and her siblings, Ann Cargill and Ronnie Smith.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Irving Baptist Church in Gwen's memory.
