With sadness, we share the passing of Ethan Wyatt Girdner of Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Ethan, born on October 1, 2007 in Fort Hood, Texas, passed away on September 13, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ethan Wyatt Girdner to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his grandmother Lynn Ayres; and his uncle Brad Johnson. He is survived by: his parents, Elizabeth Ann Girdner (Ayres) and J. P. Girdner; his sister Kaycie Girdner; his grandparents, Tom Ayres, Pat Bohan of Cle Elum, John Girdner of Sallisaw and Donna Brown of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; his great-grandparent Betty Girdner of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; his aunts, Laura Ayres of Cle Elum, Terri Johnson of Magazine and Desiree Girdner of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; and his uncle Harlen Johnson (Shelley). He is also survived by numerous other relatives, teammates, classmates, coaches, and friends.
A vigil service will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Agent Mallory Martin Chapel (123 S Wheeler Ave, Sallisaw, OK 74955). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Eastside Baptist Church (1120 E Ida Ave, Sallisaw, OK 74955).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in memory of Ethan be made to the EOSC United Ministry.
