He was predeceased by: his parents, Florence Sparks (Martin) and Earl Preston Sparks; his grandson Michael James Cleveland; his sister Earlene (Bob Barger); and his brothers-in-law, Dale Holman, Bill Furner and Scott Furner.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Ann Sparks (Furner); his children, Elizabeth Oberste of Sallisaw, OK, Jamie Cleveland (Michael) and Larry Michael Sparks of Sallisaw, OK; his grandchildren, Stephen Oberste, Matt Oberste, Casey, Ben Oberste, Bailey Oberste (Colton Burgess), Emma, Allie, Charlie Cleveland, Max, Alex and Jack Sparks; his great grandchildren, Blair, Baker, Camden and Carter; his siblings, Maxine Sparks of Sallisaw, OK, Sandra Holman of Sallisaw, OK, Dale Sparks (Barbara) and Joe Sparks (Beverly); and his siblings-in-law, Rose Ann Furner of Fort Smith, AR, Coletta Furner of Lavaca, AR and Stephen Furner (Debbie). He is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Agent & Mallory Martin Funeral Home (123 S Wheeler Ave, Sallisaw, OK 74955). A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Brushy Cemetery.
