She was predeceased by: her parents, Alice Reed and Lloyd Wunder of Dysart, Iowa.; her husband David Carl Williams; her son David Blake Williams; and her brother Raymond Wunder.

She is survived by: her sons, Troy (Tracy Williams) of Cave Springs and Travis (Renae Williams) of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; her brothers, Gene Wunder and Earl Wunder; and her sister-in-law Wanda Kay (Gene Heatcott). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

“Ruth was my god-send in Nurses Training at St Luke's Methodist Hospital, Cedar Rapids, IA. I guess the "powers that be" saw two shy girls who didn't really fit in, and gave them to each other to share a room. She was very good for me. We shared lots of laughs, problems, and secrets together. I've seen her several times since those days. Even though I could tell she was declining mentally, especially after Blake's death, I was still able to get her to join in the conversation and laugh.”
