He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Everette Hill and Edna Ida Hill (Lay); his wife Vera Hill; his grandson John Earl Blansett; his stepfather Roy Hixson; and his siblings, Burl Hill, Helen Hill Patterson, Harley Hill, Robert Hill, Harlena Hill Legg and Roy Gordon Hixson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Brenda Ervin (Alan) and Virginia Blansett Southern (Randall); his siblings, Dorothy Hixson, Corene Nixon and Ronald Hixson; his grandchildren, Michael Ervin, Ryan Ervin, Sharon Smith and Leah Southwood; his stepgrandchildren, Amy Page and Travis Southern; and his pets, Logan, Elvis and Precious. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
