Edward Schwers Obituary
We announce the death of Edward Schwers of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, who passed away on August 28, 2026, at the age of 64. Edward will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Schwers and Edith Schwers (Nachtman); his father-in-law Vashi Mahtani; and his brother-in-law Brad Manuel. He is survived by: his daughter Kaitlyn "Katie" Schwers; his wife Robin Carpenter of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; his son-in-law Kory Gould of Raymore, Missouri; his brother Gene Schwers (Team D. A. W.); his sister-in-law Shellie Schwers of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; his sisters, Patty Manuel (Mike Meissen) of Ankeny, Iowa, Kathy Langenberg (Carl Stuber) of Anamosa, Iowa and Carol Husmann; his brother-in-law Greg Husmann of Anamosa, Iowa.; his mother-in-law Betsy Mahtani of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; his stepson Kory Hodges of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and his granddaughter Kinley. He is also survived by many in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the The Avacentre (23486 Co Rd E34, Anamosa, IA 52205).
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation or Wounded Veterans of Oklahoma.
