He was predeceased by: his wife Debra Jones; his sons, Christopher, Jesse and Forest Jr.; his parents, Wallace Jones and Caroline Jones (Carry); and his brothers, Wallace and Ferliegh Jones (Buck).
He is survived by: his daughter Tina Butte (Michael); his grandson Christopher Jackson; his children, Bobby Jones and Caroline; and his siblings, Paul Jones, Ellen Dobyns and Jesse Jones (Ruthy). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
