He was predeceased by: his parents, Andy Eugene Broughton and Blanche V. Cole (Broughton). He is survived by: his wife Sandra Broughton; his son Joe Broughton II; his daughter-in-law Chelynn Broughton; and his grandchildren, Jeremy Owens and Morgan Broughton. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
