He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Swanson and Bessie Skinner Swanson; his siblings, Wanda Johnson and Charles Swanson; and his former wife Iva Garner Swanson.
He is survived by: his sons, Ken, Jr. (Charity) and Eric; his wife Ginny Murphy Swanson; his stepson Michael Murphy (Kim); his grandchildren, Josh (Jordan), Aubrie Swanson, Nikki Maynard (Brandon) and Abby Swanson; his stepgrandchildren, Ashley, Alexa, Abbey and Aubrey Daley; and his sister Barbara Swanson. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren.
