He was predeceased by: his brothers, Haskell and Herman. He is survived by: his nephew Marlin Ellis; his former wife Mercedes Wade; his wife Norma Austell-Ellis (Chede Ellis) of Ponca City; his sons, Dale Ellis of Langley, OK, Keith Ellis (Sarah) of Springfield, MO and Van Ellis of Sand Springs; his grandchildren, Ashley Calta (George) of McKinney, TX, Shannon Gann of Ozark, MO, Daniel Ellis (Kaysten) of Corpus Christi, TX, Vanessa Ellis-Glover (Cody) of Humble, TX, Emily Ellis-Hughes (Wyatt) of Sand Springs, OK and Stephanie Austell-Lima (Marcelo) of Birmingham, AL; and his great grandchildren, Claudia, Natasha Calta, Hunter, Wyatt, Austin Gann, Cameron, Jackson, Anson, Preston Glover, Ellis Audrey Hughes, Chelsea and Jordan Lima. He is also survived by other extended family, and many friends.
