He was predeceased by: his wife Martha Richards; his parents, Smoky Richards and Barbara Richards; and his siblings, Valerie Craig (Robert Craig) and Virgil Richards (Regina Richards).
He is survived by: his children, Smoky and Barbara Richards; his sister Kate (Chester Kemplin) of Ezel, Kentucky; and his stepson Robert Thomas (Terri Westfall-Reiholtz). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other family members.
