He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Ray and Fannie Lou Scantlin (Boyette); his siblings, Cecil Ray Scantlin and Rhonda; and his son Ritchie.

He is survived by: his wife Linda; his brother Charles Scantlin (Debbie); his daughters, Lorinda Dolan (John) and Lenora Scantlin; his grandchildren, Jake Dolan, Bryana Copeland (Dustin), Jaiden Wingo (Brooklyn) and Abbi Wingo; and his great grandchildren, Drake, Bennett and Ellie.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church Pickett Prairie, Sapulpa Oklahoma or the Millersburg Cemetery Association, Fulton, MO.
