He is survived by: his wife Joyce Holmes; his sons, Derek Holmes (Amy) and Heath Holmes; his brother Jerry Holmes; his grandchildren, Logan Holmes, Shane Holmes (Audrey), Rylee Holmes, Halli Holmes, Elijah Holmes, Meridith Holmes, Cora Holmes, Reagan Joy Holmes and Silas Byrd Holmes; his great grandchild Lillie Holmes; and his grandchildren, Tyler, Kera and Spencer. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Donations to the elevator fund at the First United Methodist Church may be made in lieu of flowers.
