He was predeceased by: his parents, Gertrude Edna (Fondren) and Samuel Sherman Johnson; his wives, Gwendolyn Boughan (Boughan) and Carol Boughan; his daughter Rhonda Dewitt; his great grandchild Jaxon Maddox; and his siblings, Kathy Birge, Ronnie Johnson, Bobby Kay Thomas and David Johnson.
He is survived by: his son Sam Johnson (Brenda) of Sayre, OK; and his siblings, Robin Boatman, Carol Jo Gordan and Kimberly McCray. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.
