He was predeceased by : his parents, William "Buck" Ronald and Ruth Francis Mead (Hopkins); his daughter Ronica Laverty; his sister Karen Copeland; and his son-in-law Rocky Indiek.
He is survived by : his wife Donna Jean Mead (Welch); his sister Marjorie Schmidt of Greensburg, KS; his brother-in-law Richard Long of Dodge City, KS; and his children, Vernon "Bud" Wallis of Buffalo, OK, Christeena Jackson of Dodge City, KS, Ginger Wallace (Paul) of Slapout, OK and Colt Mead (Jeny) of Shattuck, OK. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews; and a host of family, friends.
