He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Barrett and Ludie Barrett (Gilreath); his son Tim Barrett; his grandchildren, Addison Hunt and Carina Saunders; and his great grandchild Tyler Durham.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Barrett; and his children, Larry Barrett, Patty Hunt, Richard Saunders, Ronda Barrett, Troy Saunders, Alva Dale Barrett, Jr., Christine Vass and Dawn Barrett. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Davenport Baptist Church (74026 Tribute Wall 4, New Posts).
