As we bid Betty farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Betty is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Gilmore and Mary Gilmore (Cecil); and her siblings, Sonny Gilmore and Alice Gilmore. She is survived by: her husband Raymond Langley; her children, James Darrell Short of Newalla, Oklahoma, Tanya Rushing (Richard) of McLoud, Oklahoma, Terri Simon of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Talena Meadows (Mike) of Newalla, Oklahoma; and her brother Gerald Gilmore (Beth) of Taloga, Oklahoma. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ft. Sill National Cemetery (2648 NE Jake Dunn Rd, Elgin, OK 73538).
