He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Bob Simmons and Alice Simmons; and his siblings, Freddy Simmons (Marylou) of Elmore City, Oklahoma, Geneva Pool (Floyd) of Elmore City, Oklahoma, Sue Cochran (Floyd) of Pauls Valley and Imogene Brooks (Bob).

He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Simmons; his children, Sheila Atwood (Jeff) of Porum, Oklahoma and Scott Simmons (Debbie) of Shawnee, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Jessica Clemons and Clint Simmons; and his great grandchildren, Bexley Clemons and Case Clemons.

He was a proud member of the American Angus Association and the North American Limousin Foundation.
