He is survived by: his wife Ernestine Latterner; his children, Tim Maynard (Kelli), Kay Jenkins (Bill) and Sharon Dove (Rick); his grandchildren, Melissa Boswell (Blake), Maribeth Cameron (Ryan), Matt Maynard, Kaci Lepicier (Brett), Sam Dove and Keith Bodiford; and his sister Rachel Cook. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.

“I have often thought of Brother Maynard and even Googled him to find out where he might be. I remember him from Taylor Blvd. church in Louisville where he “pastored” the deaf church and signed for them when we worshiped together. He and Sister Ernestine lived around the corner from us when we lived in Cloverleaf Acres. Brother Maynard tutored me when I had trouble with algebra and even lent me his ‘54 Ford once to get to my job. I wanted you to know how much Brother Maynard meant to my family.”
