He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Barber and Mary Gene Barber (Yeargin); and his son Gregory Barber. He is survived by: his wife Paula Barber (Greene); his children, Michael "Mike" Barber (Devra) and Rebecca Stapleton (Tad); and his siblings, Beverly Whittle, Thomas "Tommy" Barber and Mary Eugenia "Genie" Taylor (Steve). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
