It is with great sadness that we announce the death of JoAnn P. Ring of Shawnee, Oklahoma, who passed away on April 28, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Pierce and Leva Pierce (Burgess); her grandson Storm O'Brien; and her siblings, Opal Onieta Pierce, Ruthie Pierce, Betty Jean Pierce, Zete May Pierce, Argie Parsons, Margie Stidman, Louise Vible, Leslie Pierce, Billy Joe Pierce, J. W. Pierce and Guy "Salty" Pierce.
She is survived by: her children, Hershel Ring (Terri) of Shawnee, Todd Ring (Chrystal) of Bethel Acres, Travis Ring (Alaina) of Shawnee and Angel O'Brien (Shane) of Meeker; her grandchildren, Sara Brewer (Dylan) of Jones, Oklahoma, Tessa Newton (Jeffery) of Dallas, TX, Andrew Ring of Bethel Acres, Travis Ring, Jr. of Edmond, Courtney Ring (Justin Plumlee) of Shawnee, Kaitlyn Ring (Chase Puckett) of Shawnee, Stephanie Sutton of Midwest City, Brianna Phillips (Andrew) of Shawnee and Brooklynn Hulstine (Justin) of Meeker; and her great grandchildren, Emmett Brewer, Hudson Brewer, Cooper Plumlee, Mason Puckett, Brayton Schwertner, Ryker Hunn, Braelyn Phillips, Brynlee Phillips and Brixton Phillips.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Walker Funeral & Cremation Service (201 E 45th St, Shawnee, OK 74804). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church (1005 Kimberly Rd, Tecumseh, OK 74873).
