He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Ezra Lawson and Theresa Vashti Goodson Lawson. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Stapp; his son McKinley (Jaclyn Ratkowski); and his grandson Freddie of Kewadin. He is also survived by two nephews, several cousins, an aunt, and a brother-in-law.
