Jo Ann Bugg Obituary

Jo Ann Bugg, age 84 of Skiatook, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, June 17, 2023 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Jo Ann was born November 24, 1938, in Keota, Oklahoma to Tillis (McCann) Willhite. She grew up and received her education near New Kirk, Oklahoma and graduated from Chilocco Indian School in 1957. Jo Ann married Bill Bugg in Skiatook where they made their home since that time. She was a homemaker, worked as a head cook at a hospital in Enid, and also worked as a cook at Skiatook Nursing Home. Jo Ann enjoyed sewing and making quilts of all different sizes and colors, cooking, spending time with her family and she loved visiting her sisters.

Jo Ann was preceded in death by her mother: Tillis Willhite, husband: Bill Bugg, daughters: Rose Johnston, Doris DeRoin, and sisters: Joyce Cass and Ilene DeLisle.

Jo Ann is survived by her children: Frank DeRoin, April Watashe, John DeRoin, Stella Bodine, Charlie DeRoin, brothers: Tommy Willhite, Earl Willhite, Curtis Willhite, sisters: Margaret Machuta, Maxine Bertwell, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family of Jo Ann Bugg entrusted her care and services to Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
