He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Wilford Gentry and Joan Barbara Gentry (Kalassa); his siblings, Dorothy Hopkins and Chester "Johnny" Gentry; and his nephew Daniel Childress (Jean Morris).
He is survived by: his children, David Gentry (Kandice) and Charla Hester (Bill); his grandchildren, Jewell Gentry, Aiden Gentry, Gabe Gentry and Charlize Hester; and his sisters, Marlene Hobbe and Barbara Hutcheson. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
