He was predeceased by: his parents, Jeral Clinton and Dorothy Ruby Hunter (Bernard); his daughter Kelly L. Hunter; his brother Jerry L. Hunter; and his grandfathers, Hunter and Roy.

He is survived by: his sons, Doyle Hunter, Donald Hunter and Ronald W. Hunter; and his siblings, Gary Cobb, Marilee Estes and Karen Hunter Nelson. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
