She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucy Emmons and Jerry Emmons; and her husband R. V. Sturgeon, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Vickie Sturgeon and Jerry V. Sturgeon. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family requests that any memorial be made as a donation to the Stillwater Medical Foundation, the First Christian Church of Stillwater, or the Stillwater History Museum at the Sheerar.
