He was predeceased by: his parents, Dwight Stanley Campbell and Patty Coleen Campbell. He is survived by: his sons, Nathan Dwight Campbell and Michael Curtis Campbell; his brothers, Todd Alan Campbell and Jeffrey Lee Campbell; and his pet Kody Blue.

He also found great joy in supporting the CareerTech Foundation scholarship program and took great pride in his involvement with their Hall of Fame banquet.
