He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Leon and Ruth Evelyn Ferrell. He is survived by: his wife Denise; his children, Abe and Holland; his grandchild Addy; his children, Luke and Rhiannon; his grandchildren, Avery, Nolan, Olivia and Knox; his children, Hollis Bernice and Karl; his grandchildren, Catherine Lee and Will; his children, Blake and Kristy; his grandchildren, Hattie, Claire, Ellie Kay and Roy; and his brothers, Dennis (Diane), Monty (Linda) and Mickey (Sheila). He is also survived by many extended family members, friends.

He also gave back to his community by serving as treasurer for the Sangre Ridge PTA, the Stillwater Arts and Humanities Council, and the Stillwater Public Education Foundation.
