It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dorothy Claudine Friend of Stillwater, Oklahoma, born in Foyil, Oklahoma, who passed away on November 20, 2022, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Angus and Mamie Josephine Lafferty (Vincent); her husband Jonathan David Friend; and her siblings, Lloyd E. Lafferty, Jean O'Halloran and Ruth Ann Baker.
She is survived by: her children, Lucinda Rarick (Ron), Jonathan Friend II (Mary Jane) and Jennifer Robinson (Kerry); her grandchildren, John C. Rarick, Ryan Friend (Leigh), Natalie Friend Waters (Aaron), Michael Moore (Susanne), Travis Moore (Kobie), Hunter Robinson (Candice), Heath Robinson (Teresa) and Wyatt Robinson; and her great grandchildren, Mason Friend, Luke Friend, Ella Waters, Collyns Waters, Caroline Moore, Hudson Moore, Thatcher Moore, Crosby Moore, Tanner Robinson, Makenzie Robinson, Harper Robinson and Cecilia Robinson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the First United Methodist Church, Mission Fund, 400 W. 7th Ave., Stillwater, OK 74074 OR the family requests that memorials be made to the OSU Foundation and designated to the Jonathan and Dorothy Friend Fund for Veterinary Medicine Library.
