James Steven Kirby Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of James Steven Kirby (Stillwater, Oklahoma) is shared. James, born on December 24, 1935, passed away on August 19, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Steven Kirby to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Franklin "Frank" and Amy "Loreen" Kirby (Shumate); his wife Barbara Ruth Sharkey of Valentine's Day; and his siblings, Adella Marie Blumer, Kathryn "Lodiene" Nickels, Betty Louvenia Holinsworth and Benjamin "Doyle" Kirby.
He is survived by: his brother Reverend Tom Kirby (Nelda) of Stillwater; his daughters, Dena Jaeger (Don) of Hochatown, Kenda Kirby of Logan County, Karen Rogers (Rick) of Fairfax and Connie Lane (Bryan) of Spring Hill, TN.; his grandsons, Kirby Jaeger of Oklahoma City, Christopher Jaeger (Bekki) of Oklahoma City, John Lane of Murfreesboro, TN and Brent Lane of Huntsville, AL.; and his close friend Martha Kenney of Stillwater. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
