He was predeceased by: his wife Nona Reed of Peabody. He is survived by: his children, Dr. Jerry Wilhm (Cathy) and Jackie German (Maurice); and his granddaughters, Carrie German, Cristie Leach, Elyse Moore and Dana Wilhm. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
Dr. Wilhm participated in a National Science Foundation study at Lake Atitlan in Guatemala in 1973.
