He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Joe and Helen Frances Haney (Leven). He is survived by: his wife Pam; his children, Chad (Jillian), Ryan (Amy) and Joy (Chad Cawood); his grandchildren, Crayton, Carter Haney, Wyatt, Colton Haney, Caris and Marin Cawood; and his brother Paul Haney. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Later in his career, Joe transitioned to fundraising for the Oklahoma State University Foundation, where his greatest accomplishment was cultivating the gift that named the Spears School of Business. He also worked for the Bartlesville Community Foundation and finished his career working for Epworth Villa, helping lay the foundation for Legacy Village of Stillwater.
