He was predeceased by: his father, Aubrey Reed, mother Gladys Reed Goad; his grandmother Amy Reed; his stepfather Dewey Goad; his sons, Derek Taylor and Craig Forrest Reed (Kim Berger Reed); and his uncle Orval Pate.
He is survived by:; his loving wife of 50 years, Cassie Taylor Reed; his son Shon Roark Reed; and his brothers, Charles Reed (Sue) and Rick Goad (Peggy).
