He was predeceased by: his parents, Riley "Cowboy" Sutton and Louise Belt Sutton; his sister Angela Hyatt; his son Brett Stewart; his in-laws, Ernie and Leola Roberts; and his siblings-in-law, Roland Fowler, Bobbie Fowler and Sharon Sutton.

He is survived by: his wife Donna Roberts Sutton; his granddaughter Rylee; his children, Steve Sutton (Debbie), Cissy Sutton and Greg Stewart; his grandchildren, Shane Sutton (Kortney), Shayla Vanhorn (Josh), Shylee, Patton (Riley), Jaci Moczygemba (Chandler), Jackson Lawless (Taylor), Abigail, Stewart, Elizabeth Edge (Aaron), Jesse Stewart and Bryce Stewart; his great grandchildren, Aspen, Willa, Emmalyn, Adeline, Nova, Henley, Maddox, Easton, Beau and Georgia; and his sister Evelyn Sutton (Bruce Sutton).
