She was predeceased by: her parents, Lynn Wilkerson Norman and Byrd Ferguson Norman; her brother Lynn Byrd Norman; and her aunts and uncles, Margret Jane McMakin, Mary F. Tate, Ruth F. Moore, Bud Ferguson and Tom Ferguson.

She is survived by: her daughter Bena Kratochvil; her granddaughter Ocean Wister Larkey; and her friends, Bruce Davies, Jolene Mitchell, Marilyn Bearen, Janice Warren and Jack Kelly.

In lieu of flowers, Mary Jane had requested that donations be made to one of the following organizations: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, http://www.stjude.org.
