He was predeceased by: his parents, Pete Howe and Pug Howe of Nebo; his wife Sherry Howe (Hilliard); and his sister Kaye Roach. He is survived by: his children, Stephenie Ringwald, Kali Howe and Logan Howe (Cassey); his grandchildren, Tallie Tynes, Kaedyn Howe, Taelyn Ringwald, Tenley Howe and Kase Howe; and his sister Karen Byrd. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and many other family members and friends.
After college, he returned home to operate Nebo Jersey Farm for many years before continuing his love of agriculture at the Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation, where he worked until his retirement.
