She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Benjamin Gatewood and Cora Ann Gatewood (Gaines); her husband Percy; her son David Edmondson; and her siblings, Cecil, John, Tom, Jerry Wayne, Gene, Jessie, Leroy, Bill Gatewood and Florence Shepherd.
She is survived by: her children, James Smith (Regina) and Lorie Ann Taylor; her daughter-in-law Carolyn Edmondson; and her grandchildren, Shandale Herndon (Linda), Chris Herndon (Crystal), Dereck Herndon (Kim), Kyle Wayne Moore (Dani), Kayla Carlton (Colton), Johnna Edmondson and DJ Edmondson. She is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren; along with many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Reed-Culver Funeral Home (117 W Delaware St, Tahlequah, OK 74464). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at the Final Resting Place Tahlequah City Cemetery (1251 W Fox St, Tahlequah, OK 74464).
