It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Hinds Sr. of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, who passed away on September 27, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though James may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hinds and Doris Hinds (Squyers); his brothers, Lt. William Herbert Hinds, Jr. and Stephen Gerald Hinds; and his daughter Samantha Hinds.
He is survived by: his sons, James Hinds, Jr. and Christopher Hinds; and his siblings, Jack Russel (Leeanna) and Diane Hinds. He is also survived by grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, and loving family members.
