The memory of Thelma Jean McDaniel (Tahlequah, Oklahoma), who passed away on November 5, 2025 at the age of 86, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jasper Newton and Mary Jane Farrow (Butler); her husband Wilbern McDaniel; her daughter Susan Gail McDaniel; her siblings, James Farrow, Pauline Ellis, Delaney Walker, Marie James and Linda Ford; and her great grandchild Shya McDaniel.
She is survived by: her children, Steve McDaniel (Carolyn) of Tahlequah, OK, Darrell McDaniel (Johnna) of Chetopa, KS and Donna McDaniel of Tahlequah, OK.; her sisters, Virginia Ford of Muskogee, OK and Katheryn Taylor of Teresita, OK; and her grandchildren, Missy Wheeler (JD), Randy McDaniel, Stephen McDaniel, Stacy Ferguson (Chris) of Tulsa, OK, Susan Weaver of Tahlequah, OK and Serenity McDaniel of Chetopa, KS. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Reed-Culver Funeral Home (117 W Delaware St, Tahlequah, OK 74464). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Citizens Cemetery (1425 E Poplar St, Fort Gibson, OK 74434).
