It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alta Leona Dixon of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, who passed away on December 17, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Garland F. Cheek and Lena Martha Cheek (Davis); her spouse Burlin Afton Dixon; her brother Denver; and her sons, Bob and Mark.
She is survived by: her children, Jimmy Wayne Dixon (Willie) of Shawnee, Gary Eugene Dixon (Vickie) of Maude, Larry Dale Dixon of Wilburton, Delinda Kaye Carthen of Shawnee and Brenda Deann Blanton of Wylie, Texas; and her sister Letha Berniece Hodges of Muskogee. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
