He is survived by : his parents, Bill Smith and Vaunciel Albin; and his children, Desiree Fomin, Derek Dean and Gage Sandlin. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Cooper Funeral Home (210 W Walnut St, Tecumseh, OK 74873).
